Garrett Mauer
Principal
Garrett holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from UT and an MBA from St. Edward’s University. He brings over 25 years of construction experience to Neon Agave Homes, with a background spanning engineering, commercial construction, and residential custom homes. Garrett is a natural problem solver who finds satisfaction in navigating a build’s complexities. He leads each project with a team mindset and a practical building approach. Neon Agave Homes is an ongoing sponsor of AIA CRAN, and Garrett is a regular attendee of the CRAN home tours. He also serves on the Board of Directors at Large for the Austin HBA and is a member of the AIA Homes Tour Committee. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his daughters, following Austin FC (Listos!), and on the never-ending search for some San Antonio-style puffy tacos.
Brooke Mauer
Finance & Administration
Brooke, an East Texas native, brings a diverse background in finance and education to her role at Neon Agave Homes. Brooke holds a Bachelor’s in Finance and a Master’s in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. She oversees accounting, procurement, and day-to-day operations, keeping projects organized and running smoothly. Her systems-driven approach supports each project’s team and ensures a consistent build every time. Outside of work, Brooke enjoys going on road trips with Garrett and their 3 daughters (Georgia, Teddie, and Billie), decorating cakes, and a good margarita.
In 2010, we used Garrett’s engineering expertise to try our hand at the Austin house-flipping market. We fueled our endeavor with successful renovations and sold homes. We learned a lot from those first projects and had fun along the way.
Aside from learning the ins-and-outs of the residential construction business, we realized that our new found career was more than just moving walls and making things pretty. We were creating a home for a family, just like our own. From renovating homes for friends to building homes for new clients, we are now a full-service residential construction company. We are forever grateful to the many friends and clients who entrusted us with their beautiful homes.
